Shake Appeal

Musical inspiration breathing life into my heart,
from the mat to the dance floor.

The XX’s Infinity

I hope they have a new album in the works. I miss that sultry sound. xo

Update: As per P4K November 2011, they have ! No mention of a title or release date, however.

I love Baltimore’s Beach House. Their 2010 album Teen Dream was a smash success (damn amazing if you ask me) and this Spring’s Bloom should be just as grand. Downloading as we speak ! xo
Update: Have given it a few listens and it’s slowly growing on me ;)

—Comeback Kid

Sleigh Bells rules. I wish they were played at Loop, something pop that can be thrown down to ;) and need I say more about Alexis ? (re: photo, she’s fucking amazing clearly).

Alexis Krauss

Girls like Lana Del Rey should have hooked up with a dude from a hardcore band. I wish I happened to be sitting at that table at the right time ! This year’s Reign of Terror is pretty great, the follow up to 2010’s Treats. I love Comeback Kid, Road to Hell, and You Lost Me. Pretty girl encouraged to yell and flail around ? Love it !! xo

I have been wanting to go to mainland Portugal for some time now, and with my dad going in October this year I was inspired to begin making plans. Radiohead and Caribou are playing in Lisbon this summer…it seems like it was meant to be ! I would like to stay a couple nights in the city and a few at a seaside Yoga centre. I have to saveee, then I can be stoked. xo

Update: Soo saving is hard ! May have to go see Radiohead at Downsview Park instead…Lisbon maybe next summer. xo

Sweet Nostalgia

Lana Del Reyamyrebeccaklein:

The problem with Lana Del Ray is that she may be smarter than you. After all, here she is, half-formed and already fully famous, ready for her closeup, clothed only in fantasy and in nostalgia for an America that no longer exists.

Sometimes, on YouTube, in between shifting veils of 1950’s stock…
